TwinWest Academy | Leadership, Context, Experience
Using the community as a classroom, TwinWest offers contextual leadership curriculum and hands-on experiences beginning January 11
The TwinWest Chamber of Commerce's leadership development program, TwinWest Academy, is built on today's needs of established and emerging leaders, all with a focus on developing leadership skills while spotlighting regional community issues. The program connects participants to diverse aspects of the community and includes a strong, professional leadership development curriculum delivered by Augsburg College.
Using the TwinWest Chamber's "community as a classroom" proven methodology, participants go where the action is to gain an insider's view behind-the-scenes of key organizations in the community. Participants fuse newfound ideas and broader perspectives into their workplace projects and daily life.
TwinWest Academy brings together the Chamber's rich history of two programs-Leadership TwinWest and Inside Politics-in a new streamlined format.
TwinWest Academy participants graduate with:
- A greater personal vision and confidence through leadership exploration;
- Expanded perspectives on leadership, communications, and citizenship;
- A strong understanding of key issues and challenges facing us today;
- Direct connections with movers and shakers in the community;
- A unique, hands-on experience producing a noticeable impact in the workplace.

Investment:
$550/participant - includes course materials, tours, structured leadership development curriculum, and scheduled meals. Registration deadline: December 20, 2011. Participation in this program is limited to TwinWest members only.
Leadership Curriculum:
* Program leadership curriculum is delivered professionally by Augsburg College. Graduates of TwinWest Academy will become chamber leadership scholars who qualify for a 10 percent reduction in tuition when they apply and are accepted to any of Augsburg's graduate programs or Weekend College.
